As in all Vineyard churches, worship is a priority for a Vineyard church plant. The choice of a worship leader is an important one and should be based on heart, character and a common vision for worship as well as gifting and musical ability.

Our values of intimacy, integrity and accessibility in worship are foundational to the essence of the Vineyard. These values are not negotiable and need to be communicated and understood by any new leader in a plant.

An open, honest and accountable relationship between the pastor and worship leader is one of the most important relationships in the church. They need to be able to share their vision for worship and discuss musical styles and preferences within a framework of trust and friendship. There will be differences of opinions on song choice, volume and even time frames for worship. The more open and honest the communication between pastor and worship leader, the greater the potential for exuberant, passionate, intimate, honest and accessible worship.
