Da Vine Kids is Valley Vineyard's children's ministry.
We cater for children from the ages 6 to 12.
We meet every Sunday in the main Da Vine Kidz building next to the administration offices from 9h00-10h30.
Our weekly progamme
Children arrive from 08:40 and we start off our morning with playing time, where teachers and children get to interact and share their lives. Thereafter, we have a fabulous time of Praise and Worship and prayer. You have to be their to appreciate it!
After sandwiches, juice and biscuits, we have a 5-minute Sign Language "lesson", followed by our curriculum-based Bible-teaching and prayer time. Thereafter we have craft time, based on the morning's lesson and we end off our morning at 10:45. We continously strive to provide a loving, God-centred environment where children are loved and nurtured in a fun and loving real-world environment. Safety is of utmost importance to us. Our wonderful teachers always strive to show the children the love of Jesus and fulfill their emotional, spiritual and physical needs to the best of their abilities. Bring your kids to us! We embrace and celebrate their differences - no one is ever out of place at Da Vine Kidz!

Security and Safety
We take the security of our children very seriously and it is for this reason that parents are asked to bring their children to the meeting room to ensure that their child is given a lanyard. Each parent is given a card with a corresponding number to their child's lanyard, which the parent keeps for the duration of the morning. At the end of the service, parents fetch their children by 10h45 and bring their number card back. We do not allow children to wander around the property on their own and we insist that each child is fetched by an adult with the matching card number.
We are also very firm with regards to who is allowed to teach our children. Prospective teachers are required to fill in an application form and have an interview first. We also require reference letters from previous churches. We encourage our teachers to work in pairs, where possible. Children are discouraged to wander off and are not allowed to go anywhere on their own i.e. they have to be accompanied by a monitor, leader or teacher.
The teachers are equiped with panic buttons should they be faced with any danger. The signal is linked to a security company based in our area.
First Aid: Some of the teachers recently attended a first aid course and we have a basic first aid kit for minor injuries.
